1 hr on new orientation Dev video, 2 hrs on dev team questionnaire (https://surveynuts.com/surveys/take?id=139556&c=3059625761DJHT), 3 hrs on onboarding flow (https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1qHg_GnphGrC3oqNRhye-yedAvhs8uhKqkgxU_xIcxGU/edit#slide=id.g1e4f77c5ed_0_25), 3 hrs on the welcome email and New Developer orientation (http://opensourceecology.org/wiki/New_Developer_Orientation), and 3 hrs planning and communicating about these items
1. I relocated the to-do list items from the email to a "New Developer's Orientation" page that I made: http://opensourceecology.org/wiki/New_Developer_Orientation. 2. Then I made a script for the proposed help video to go with it based one a 2-3 min time limit: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1iK7fR2PdPXNd5xmR5lBPLtRLg7QzGW4_i32Gx6dIftM/edit 3. Inside the New Developer's Orientation I want to link to help resources for the general OSE toolchain, and opened pages for Wiki 101, Google Drive 101, Google Sheets 101, etc. and added the most helpful links I could find for them. I'm in communication with Dixon about a simple template. As yet, besides the links, they are are undeveloped. 4. Then I re-edited the welcome email (subtracting the to-do list items that had been relocated to the orientation page) and extraneous links. I added one small section on "Pioneering" and added a link to the New Developer's Orientation as their "homework" for week one. It needs to be reviewed. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1p4iG2Vg20YiR1-0vK_C5E6WDyxAJLzTEDeyv3NN25-M/edit?usp=sharing
4 hrs on the New Developer's wiki page (migrating to-do list items from the email and other sources, ordering them, getting links, and making the page). 2 hrs re-editing the Welcome Email. 2 hrs on the video script. 2 hrs on the 101 pages. 1 hr of productive communication regarding these tasks.
Mostly new developer "housekeeping"
